whee vs. ouaiiis [Oct. 30th, 2005|05:25 pm]
Previous Entry Share Next Entry
As the number of extra vowels in the words increases (i.e. whee, wheee, wheeee...) the number of google hits of course goes down. However spikes still occur in the decline, and even odder is the correspondence between the spikes in the English word vs those of the French word:

French spike at 16 i's (1680, 1040, 2950, 1230, 996...)
English spike at 16 e's (944, 806, 9940, 685, 4060...)

French spike at 43 i's (64, 38, 334, 80, 67...)
English spike at 48 e's (765, 684, 2470, 654, 551...)

French spike at 72 i's (8, 8, 36, 2, 1...)
English spike at 78 e's (46, 69, 321, 16, 96...)

useless trivia... or is it?
